Basic principle of ultrasonic cleaning:
Ultrasonic cleaning consists of three parts: an ultrasonic power supply, a transducer, and a propagation medium. It is based on the cavitation effect generated in the liquid under the high-frequency mechanical oscillation propagation of tens of thousands of times per second. The formation of cavitation effect is first caused by the high-frequency oscillation signal generated by the ultrasonic electric box (i.e. ultrasonic signal generator), which is converted into tens of thousands of high-frequency mechanical oscillations per second through the transducer, and propagates to the liquid (medium) to form high-frequency alternating sound pressure that continuously radiates and spreads forward in the liquid. When a liquid receives alternating changes in positive or negative pressure (about a few atmospheres), countless cavitation bubbles quickly form in the liquid and burst (implosion), thereby achieving the purpose of purifying the surface of the workpiece. The stronger the cavitation effect, the better the cleaning effect on the vibration and peeling of dirt on the inner and outer surfaces of the workpiece immersed in liquid, and the faster the cleaning speed. At the same time, ultrasound also has the function of emulsification and neutralization, which can more effectively prevent the cleaned oil stains from reattaching to the cleaned object.
